Over the course of a few hours, Peder Mannerfelt and RONI will meet on one of the stages at Semibreve. Or it could be said that they will diverge on that stage, as a B2B set by definition contains this ambiguity: a convergence of ideas but also a clash of strategies, like two languages negotiating a common syntax. Nevertheless, at some point everything magically comes together in harmony, even if it doesn’t logically seem like it should. This is because, on the one hand, Peder is a veteran figure and a masterful techno surgeon, a man whose love for machines is well-known and whose results are unpredictable. His mood constantly takes us to uncertain places, brimming with energy and edge. On the flip side, RONI brings Paris with him, and the essence of a sophisticated club where a different kind of speed reigns, with a constantly pulsating bassline spanning from rave to footwork, and a total mastery of breaks and their physical impact on the dancefloor. Minimalism versus maximalism is the watchword, with hybrid and unexpected results that propel them, and us, to other places.
